About Us
During the mid-1960s, 37.9 acres of land containing a gravel pit, situated southwest of the intersection of East 52nd Street and Allisonville Road, was developed into rental property known as Lakeshore Manor Apartments featuring a 17-acre lake. Ultimately, nine buildings were erected comprising a total of 23 principal entrances, a Clubhouse, and 137 dwelling units with one temporarily serving as a sales model and office.
In 1979, the property was divided into two parcels each including part of the lake which became known as Heron Lake. The east parcel consisted of approximately 21.24 acres, and it included all of the apartment buildings. The dwelling units were marketed as condominiums, and the governing body became known as Heron Lake Condominium Owners Association, Inc.
